Hi, I’m Niamh! I’m a 28-year-old from Ireland, and I began my coding journey in December 2024. While I’m still relatively new to coding, I’ve already achieved so much in a short time. In fact, I built this entire website—both the front-end and back-end—all by myself! I’m passionate about technology and thrive on being dedicated, hardworking, and determined. I’m proficient in HTML and CSS, and I’m currently diving deeper into JavaScript to expand my skills. Website Overview

The website is a modern, user-friendly platform created for The Shrove Medical Practice, which offers healthcare services to the community. The design prioritizes accessibility, clarity, and usability, ensuring visitors can easily navigate and find the information they need.

  • Style and Design Color Scheme:

    • A professional and warm color palette is employed, with shades like brown, maroon, and crimson for borders and text accents, creating a trustworthy and inviting atmosphere.

  • Typography:

    • Uses classic fonts like 'Times New Roman' and Arial for readability and a professional tone. Titles and headers are emphasized with large font sizes, bold styles, and text decorations (e.g., underlines and overlines).

  • Layout:

    • Centered content: The text and elements are centered, providing a clean, symmetrical appearance. Sections: Clearly demarcated sections for navigation, main content, forms, and contact information, separated by borders and padding for a structured look. Flexbox: The "Meet the Team" section uses Flexbox for a responsive and visually appealing arrangement of team photos and descriptions.

  • Imagery:

    • High-quality images are integrated, including a welcoming image of a waiting room and professional photos of team members, enhancing the visual appeal and personal connection. Functionality

    • A dynamic form allows users to submit prescription requests with fields for Name, Date of Birth, Email, and Medications. Includes form validation to ensure all fields are filled before submission. Integrated with EmailJS to send the form data directly to the medical practice’s email address.

  • Opening Hours:

    • A dedicated section outlines the clinic’s opening hours, highlighting closures on weekends and bank holidays, along with a note about lunch breaks.
